Project Researcher – Brand Development

The Big Picture:

ScanCom International, a fully Danish owned manufacturer of Outdoor furniture, and part of the Lars Larsen Group is currently recruiting for a Project Researcher for a newly established role.

Being the leading global player in the outdoor furniture industry requires us to create outstanding products and value-added services to our clients, and we are therefore now looking for a new team member to support us on our journey and help us with Brand Development. The position offers a 12-month fixed term contract with the possibility of extension.

The purpose of the role is to support in research, analysis and development of a business case focused on delivering brand experience and quality products to market – this includes possible distribution routes, defining the buyer persona and their demographic, omnichannel sales and communication, warehousing and more. All of this framed by ScanCom’s commitment to deliver sustainable and environmentally conscious products to market; especially through material choices ranging from FSC™-only wood, recycled plastics etc.

The position will be reporting to our Chief Business Development Officer Lars Rudkjoebing, and will be based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

What will you do?

  • Research and gather market data through analysis from relevant sources
  • Analyse and provide suggested approaches to branding development and positioning strategy
  • Provide competitive analysis on various companies’ market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation
  • Implement initiatives and follow up on effectiveness.
  • Compiling and analyzing statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it

 

What do you need to bring?

  • Relevant experience and educational background, preferably from a similar role.
  • Experienced in managing and leading projects
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • High level of energy and drive
  • Experience in managing stakeholders, from all organizational levels and cultural backgrounds.
  • Search engines, web analytics and business research tools acumen
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys etc)
  • An interest to travel and see the World approx. 40 days annually
