Following the success of last year’s charity bike tour, ScanCom is delighted to announce we will be returning to Mallorca from the 27th to the30th of April, for the second installment of our now annual CSR initiative, the Tour de ScanCom.

The target this year is to raise $4,500 for our charitable partners in Vietnam, Passion4life(www.p4l.dk) and Make a Small Difference (MASD)(www.make-a-small-difference.com). Last year our fundraisers raised $4000 cycling to an altitude of 4000m in the sun-soaked Mallorcan hills. To match the increased fundraising goal this year, our riders will push themselves even further, to a dizzying height of 4,500m.

Our enthusiastic crew of fourteen riders will receive their daily riding plan at the opening dinner on the 27th April, accompanied by a presentation from Dan Frost. They can expect to ride 75-100km each day, leaving ample time for social and networking opportunities in-between some challenging rides.

While this should be a great bonding exercise for the participants, it is also part of ScanCom’s broader effort to raise awareness of our charity partners’ excellent work within Vietnam. We hold a deep appreciation for our large body of staff and their diverse backgrounds, and this gratitude is what drives us to support charities that offer a brighter future and increased opportunities for those living in deprived circumstances.

Our global commitment to Doing Business the Right Way – the ScanCom Way is unwavering, and these fun and active few days will be a great way of highlighting our desire to make a positive impact in the communities that we operate in around the world.
