It is with great pleasure and distinguished honour, that ScanCom International today celebrated the successful visit of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, at our Song Than offices in Vietnam.
The visit is part of the celebration of ScanCom receiving the Crown Prince Frederik International Business Award in the category ‘Green Solutions’ in August 2021, as well as a recognition of ScanCom’s willingness and dedication to continue the sustainability journey – with Doing Business the Right Way as the ever-guiding principle and motto.
Members of the board and top management at ScanCom – including Chairman, Erik Holm – greeted His Royal Highness, and the Danish Ambassador to Vietnam, Nicolai Prytz, before a short tour of ScanCom’s International Showroom and presentation of the Reddot-awarded Stream Chair.
The Crown Prince interestedly asked questions about both the scope, impact and journey for ScanCom’s sustainability journey – as well as the future direction and commitment.
In addition to the showroom tour, ScanCom’s own brand-programme, LifestyleGarden, was also presented to the Crown Prince, as well as an outline and introduction of the successful Management Trainee Programme – representing the next generation of leaders for ScanCom in Vietnam. The young talents from the first and second iteration of the programme shared a few words, before having photos taken with His Royal Highness.
The delegation and representatives then enjoyed a relaxing lunch in the showroom, before the CEO for the ScanCom Group, Stig Maasbøl, handed over a memento to His Royal Highness, in reminiscence of his visit to ScanCom back in 2009.
On the occasion, Mr. Maasbøl shared: “It is always a great pleasure and tremendous honour to host such a distinguished guest at our facilities, and not often, as a person or company, that you get the opportunity to follow up on an award winning prize with a high-level visit to Vietnam from the giver of the Award.” He continues, “It is my sincere hope and commitment that ScanCom will continue to be innovative by bringing future sustainable solutions to the market, as a deeply integrated part of our values of Doing Business the Right Way, as it is necessary that we all take ownership for the future generations of our planet”.
Mr. Holm, expressed “I am proud of being Chairman of ScanCom which, also in challenging times, continues to focus not only on achieving financial targets, but also focuses on the purpose of improving the sustainability journey. To witness this alongside with His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Frederik… what an experience!”
Accompanying His Royal Highness was also a delegation of esteemed guests, as well as the international and local Vietnamese press.
