Hofheim-Wallau, Germany 30.06.2019. gardiente – Trade Fair for Garden Living - is always a highlight in the industry calendar and this year’s event proved to be no exception. The most significant cause for celebration came as the DuraOcean® chair scooped Bronze in a highly competitive field in the gardiente Outdoor Living Awards. Formal recognition at such a key trade fair and so early in the season is a just reward for all involved in the design and production of the DuraOcean® chair, but it also suggests that even more success lies ahead.


It was a busy few days for the team on the ground in Germany, with the ScanCom booth very well-received by visitors and had a lot of positive meetings with both existing and potential clients taking place. One of the most valuable aspects of trade fairs is the opportunity to communicate with and receive feedback from those within our specialist industry. Our sustainable and recyclable materials drew particular interest from those in attendance; DuraBoard® FSC standing out as a market leader and of course the new additions, DuraLand® and DuraOcean®.


Key Account Manager for ScanCom Germany, Sascha Löffler, reflected on a productive outing for the team, ‘“Our booth stood out at the trade show with a clear message delivered about the company slogan, Doing Business the Right Way – the sustainable way. In that regard, we were proud to promote ScanCom’s new partnerships which enable us to recycle waste from the land and sea back into beautifully designed outdoor furniture. The prize we have won says it all about the reception our products have received here.


Our marketing emphasized that among the numerous trading companies represented at gardiente, ScanCom were one of the very few actual producers. We manufacture all the many material combinations in our collection by ourselves. Additionally, ScanCom employs its own designers who are specialists in the areas of metal, wood, plastic and industrial design in general.

We even impressed with our logistics, demonstrating to our booth visitors the vast product opportunities they have for mixing furniture in a single FOB container. Added to that are the options to have containers delivered DDP, replenishment deliveries from a European warehouse, and even drop-shipment direct to the end consumer – showing that ScanCom covers the entire spectrum of delivery methods.”

The opportunity to show all that ScanCom has to offer is invaluable and will provide another boost to our business in the DACH markets, which is seeing a greater focus placed upon it as our presence there increases. There is a great demand for customized collection developments and innovation with mixed materials.
